Dr. Rena Feigin

General Information

Dr. Feigin has dedicated her career to research and practice in the area of health and rehabilitation. Her publications in scholarly journals focus on resiliency and coping with stressful situations, mainly with illness and disability, medical family therapy, and group interventions.

In addition of being a staff member of the Bob Shapell School of Social Work, Dr. Feigin is also a staff member of the Group Intervention Program and has been supervising for many years staff members working with individuals as well as with those facilitating group interventions. Among these are support groups in the Wellness Community for cancer patients and their families and Crisis Intervention Groups at the Loewenstein Hospital Rehabilitation Center. She is currently a member of the Social Commission of the Rehabilitation International.
