Course: Domestic violence related stress: Assessment and intervention

This course will explore central issues in domestic violence. The questions it will discuss include: (a) How is domestic violence defined, identified and reported? (b) How are victims and perpetrators socially constructed? (c) What is empowering intervention and how it is done? (d) Is intervention with violent perpetrators effective? (e) Should we intervene in the victims' and perpetrators' parenting? (f) What is culturally competent intervention in cases of domestic violence?
